• The Distributed Adaptive Control (DAC) series of models were built using iqr. In these models of learning and memory, a mobile robot formed associations about color patterns during the exploration of an arena. The memories stored allowed the robot to reliably navigate to target locations.

• The project "Ada: the intelligent space" for the Swiss National Exposition (Expo02) used iqr as its basis for the large scale integration on multiple sensors and effectors

• iqr is used as the core integrator for the mixed-reality space eXperience Induction Machine.

• In the Artificial Moth (AMOTH) project a model that integrates the fly's elementary motion detector (EMD) for course stabilization and the locust lobula giant movement detector (LGMD) for collision avoidance uses iqr to control a flying robot (Bermudez i Badia, S., Pyk, P., Verschure, P.F.M.J. (2007)).

• In the ReNaCHip project iqr is used for models of the cerebellum (Herreros, I, Zimmerli, L., Verschure, P.F.M.J. (2008))
